The development of music and movement is so essential in early years and can support the development of other skills like physical skills, language skills, and even maths.

This course will explore the practical promotion of music and movement in each area of the early years environment. We will also look at music and movement during continuous provision and how to encourage exploration through play.

The learning objectives for this course are as follows:

  1. To know how to develop music and movement
  2. To know how to use the environment to develop music and movement
  3. To know how to use the outdoors to promote music and movement
  4. To understand music and movement in the baby room, toddler room and pre-school
  5. To understand communicating and working with parents.

This course will ensure your practice is in line with the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage, The Early Years Framework and The Foundation Phase. It will also support your continuous professional development in line with the Early Years Teachers Standards.
