When children move rooms, it can be particularly stressful for the staff! And imagine how it feels for the children when it is not managed appropriately.

During this course, we will look at methods and strategies to manage transitions effectively. We will look at room to room, setting to setting, and finally, entry to school.

The learning objectives for this course are as follows:

  1. To understand communicating and working with parents
  2. To understand the importance of taking children’s individuality into account
  3. To look at the assessment of well-being and involvement
  4. To work out an appropriate strategy and involve all relevant members of staff
  5. To know how to continue to support following the transition

This course will ensure your practice is in line with the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage, The Early Years Framework and The Foundation Phase. It will also support your continuous professional development in line with the Early Years Teachers Standards.
