Resilience and risk are vital in the development of young children – though they can be difficult to build in the world of today in which children are increasingly wrapped in cotton wool. But people are coming around to the idea that, when playing, children can be exposed to controlled risks that can help them build their resilience and understand the real consequences of risk-taking behaviour.
This course will look at the benefits of resilience and risk for young children and will look at what controlled risks actually look like for varying age groups.
