Health visitors are qualified nurses, who have been additionally trained to work with specific groups in the community. A social worker is a person qualified with a degree in social work and is employed by the local authority to perform various duties around keeping children safe. In your role, you will encounter both of these.

This course will cover what exactly health visitors and social worker do, respectively, and the responsibilities both of them have to support children.
