Early Years Pupil Premium was introduced by the government in April 2015. This was done to help Early Years providers try to close the attainment gap between the most disadvantaged children and their peers.

This course will look at what EYPP is, if you’re eligible to claim it, and for what amount. The course will then look at how you can allocate the funding you receive and how you can measure the impact of these provisions.

The learning objectives for this course are as follows:

1. To know what Early Years Pupil Premium (EYPP) is
2. To know who can claim it, how to claim, and for what amount
3. To know how to allocate funding
4. To understand how to measure the impact

This course will ensure your practice is in line with the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage, The Early Years Framework and The Foundation Phase. It will also support your continuous professional development in line with the Early Years Teachers Standards.
