‘E-Safety’ is a term which refers to not only the internet but other ways in which young people communicate using electronic media (e.g. mobile phones). It means ensuring that children are safe and protected from harm online – but also supported to enjoy all the benefits new technology has to offer.

This course will detail e-safety and how practitioners can implement it in their settings.



The learning objectives for this course are as follows:

  1. To know what e-safety is
  2. To know how e-safety should be embedded in the whole origination
  3. To know the policy and procedure you need
  4. To be aware of the risks involved for children and adults
  5. To understand the importance of involving and informing parents


This course will ensure your practice is in line with the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage, The Early Years Framework and The Foundation Phase. It will also support your continuous professional development in line with the Early Years Teachers Standards.
