Research shows that the amount of outdoor play offered to children varies by childcare setting, with some children receiving little and others much more. Outdoor play helps children to develop many skills and supports their wellbeing. It enhances their coordination and physical skills as children climb, jump, balance, and participate. It develops resilience and confidence and empowers children to become more independent in their own learning.
This is a course that will help all staff to create an environment that enables the child to be stimulated by outdoor learning while developing decision making and problem-solving skills and learning to grow in confidence.
