The Early Years practitioners need to be skilled when it comes to making best-fit judgements about a child’s typical development, while recognising that development is also individual to the child and all children learn at different rates.

This course will enable Early Years practitioners to fully understand their role as a significant adult in a child’s development, and what that responsibility incurs. This course will also ensure that all Early Years staff know exactly how a child develops, and how best the adult can support this development.

The learning objectives for this course are as follows:

  1. To understand the areas of development of an Early Years child
  2. To know their role in the development of early years children
  3. To be able to use tried and tested strategies to improve relationships and outcomes in your role as the adult

This course ensures your practice is in line with the requirements of the Childcare Act 2006 (the Act), as amended by the Children and Families Act 2014. It will also support your continuous professional development and enable you to keep well informed and up-to-date with current practice.

Should you wish to discuss your training needs based on the children in your care, please call 0800 774 787.
